Night nappies 5/6kg

About
From about ten to twelve weeks old, babies are no longer changed at night. One of the most common issue parents have today, is leaking disposable nappies. A well-made cloth nappy is comfortable and it will last all night.
Nighttime nappy options
- The Snappit Pro Nappy System Can be used at night by light to medium wetters. If this leaks before morning when using two to three boosters, opt for the Siesta nappy system. Some babies wee more than others and option two is better suited, especially for younger babies/heavier wetters .
- The Siesta Nappy and the OSFM cover (not the Snappit pro cover)
- Two Flats and the OSFM cover
Cloth night nappies are designed to hold ten to twelve hours of output - expect a nappy that is 80 - 90% saturated through all layers in the morning. Aim for a small dry patch at the back only. The fleece liner keeps the skin dry and comfortable. If the nappy is 100% saturated with no dry patches at all and/or leaking, boosters need to be added in the cover.

How many do I need?
Full time night cloth
Four Siesta nappies. Four OSFM nappy covers (double for twins)
Part time Night Cloth
Two Siesta nappies. Two OSFM nappy covers (double for twins).
How to assemble the Siesta nappy
Fold the long insert into three (not two). The fleece liner sits closest to the skin to keep baby dry. Place the waterproof cover over.

How to achieve the perfect fit
Cloth nappies sit low at the back and the overall fit is snug. Expect a big bum. It`s 100% comfortable, does not hinder development in any way and is designed so that it can last the whole night. We wrote an article to address this concern here.
For boys, position the inserts a bit more forward in the nappy shell and point his bits vertically down with the back of your hand, so he wees directly into the inserts. If he wees out to the side this can cause a leak. For girls place the inserts in the middle of the wet zone.
The OSFM nappy cover must cover the whole nappy and be snug. No nappy can touch clothing as this will cause a leak.
After fastening the velcro, run your fingers from back to front along the inside of each elastic casing of the nappy and the cover. This physically brings the whole nappy forward and makes it comfy around the legs. If this is not done, it can pull backwards making it tight around the legs and too low at the front.
Light indent marks around the legs are very normal provided they are not deep and very red (this indicates the nappy is too wet and needs a booster added).
