Items not covered by our warranty: Velcro. Stitching for decorative purposes- overlocking, top stitching. Label stitching. Waterproofing of nappy covers. Leaking issues. Holes causes by wear and tear. Shrinkage of fabric. Colour fading. Accidental damage. Damage caused by washing over 30 degrees.

Velcro will not last forever. We use the best quality Velcro available in SA. Continuous washing does tend to wear Velcro. The key to prolonging velcro life is having a big enough stash to prevent nappies being washed every day. Our research and testing show our velcro nappies/covers should last at least 1 - 3 childrens diaper life. There are too many factors influencing wear and tear for us to be able to pinpoint an exact time. Wash your velcro nappies/covers in a laundry wash bag to prevent excessive or increased wear and tear.

Wear and tear. This is different for everyone. We do know that night nappies will show this sooner than any other nappy. Often seen along Velcro lines or stitching- small holes can appear. This is normal and can happen at different stages for everyone, or not at all. Stash size, detergent, water temperature, hard water, machines (top loaders are much heavier on items), acidity of urine all play a role in this. A diaper that gets washed repeatedly will eventually show wear and tear at some point. Our tests have revealed that Siesta nappies can start to show the above after as little as 130 - 150 washes. But some parents do not experience this at all. This is the reality of a diaper that is 100% cotton. Opt for a blend if you do not want wear and tear as described above. A synthetic element when blended with cotton, will outlive any 100% natural fibre in terms of longevity.

Bleeding (of colour from the material) is not considered a defect, we take every precaution to ensure fabric will not bleed. We however cannot guarantee no bleeding due to the nature of the fabric and washing machines differ . We recommend washing your new items separately initially to determine if the colour runs.

Flats do not always remain a perfect square due to the nature of the fabric.

Pokkelokkie cannot be held responsible for damage to nappies as a result of poor care and neglect. If nappies are continuously washed at a high heat there is bound to be damage or shrinkage. Our nappy covers will be damaged if washed over 30`C.

Snaps

Please be kind to your snaps and hold the material near the base of the snap when opening it rather than ripping it apart.
